小春俚语 | off the record 保密

今天我们来学习这个俚语表达:
off the record
record 作为名词表示记录，off就是不在的状态，off the record 就是说的是不在记录里面，不准备让其他人知道的意思，也就是私底下保密的。对应的还有一个叫做on the record 表示记录在册。
来看看这俩个句子：
1.Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to talk about this on or off the record. 很遗憾，不管是公开、还是私下，我都不能谈论这件事。 2.Let's keep this off the record, but I think interest rates will be raised soon. 这是我私下的看法，我认为利息即将调升。
