be up in the air
up是说处于上方的意思，in the air 指的是在空气中，整个理解就是说飞机还漂浮于空中，并没有落地；用以形容某件事情并没有尘埃落定，一切还没有定数。
来看看这俩个句子：
1. The company is going to build a new factory, but the location is still up in the air. 公司正准备建一个新工厂，但是位置还没有选好。 2.I would like to go with you , but my tour schedule is very much up in the air. 我很想跟你一起去，但是我的行程还没有定好。
